Sometimes Prophets are the most challenging GIFTS to work with and counsel simply because of the level that God uses them.
They hear from God.
They speak as God.
They are God’s
mouthpiece.
As God’s mouthpiece, most THINK they are always correct; Thus the challenge of helping them even when they respect you and come for help and know that you can help them.
They move into perversion simply because they aren’t willing to admit what they don’t know, nor admit the depths of the instability that has sometimes plaqued their mind pre and post Christ.
They love the spiritual things.
But if
truth is told, some of the spiritual things scare them.
Some of the spiritual things cause a fight within.
They hear voices that no one else hears.
They are sensitive to sound in an absolutely quirky kind of way.
Yet many times can’t verbalize the inner-hell they are going through ALL for the “cause of Christ”
Yet, they are determined to win by any means necessary.
They are determined to pray
more
They are determined to study more
They are determined to prophesy more
They are determined to be more.
Even in the midst of less.
Nevertheless, they keep embracing the call; the mantle, sometimes with no help in sight.
Some don’t know if they have a “gift” or if they are THE GIFT.
Would-be mentors disappear after commitment.
Pastors, force them to be something and someone they are
not.
Apostles set high expectations that they can’t seem to reach.
Spouses call them every thing but a child of God.
Relatives just don’t seem to understand the depth of who they are to the greater body.
Meanwhile the rejected PROPHET runs from one cave to the next.
The hurt PROPHET hurts those they are trying to help.
The abused PROPHET bleeds from the pulpit in a way that’s never been done before.
The lost
PROPHET keeps on searching for what they can’t find.
All the while building a nomadic group of Prophets who really just need to be loved, nurtured, educated, mentored, affirmed and released.
